Human eyes, although amazing, are often limited. The binocular vision does give us the ability to estimate depth and distance, but it's not as wide as the monocular vision; thus limiting us to perceive a panoramic picture.
Thus, for birds of prey such as eagles and owls which have limited binocular vision, they would have to fly high to be able to see more clearly.
Hence, a bird's-eye view is an elevated view of an object from above, with a perspective as though the observer were a bird.
An open mind enables us to see a certain issue from a more holistic view, revealing an expansive point of view, without neglecting meticulous details in the process. It is ridiculously crucial as to make just and sound judgments.
Without it, we would be like a small bug creeping on a beautiful lawn, failing to see the breathtaking reality.

I'd like to humbly invite you to my newly-developed blog, Bird's-eye view (Tumblr). It's easier for me to update some short thoughts, or great quotes. I'll still be updating this blog, if i were to write some long and serious stuffs. And feel free to follow, bookmark or link it to your blog; i'd appreciate it very much (^_~)
